XINDI METHANATION CATALYST SUCCESSFULLY APPLIED IN HANDAN YUTAI 30,000 Nm3/h COG TO CNG PROJECT
On June 5th, Handan Yutai Gas Company Limited 30,000 Nm3/h coke oven gas to compressed natural gas project starts up one-time successfully after the replacement of methanation catalyst.
The project was designed by Southwest Chemical Research and Design Institute, in which the catalyst used in the methanation section was provided by the southwest institute itself. The project was put into operation in 2013, and after about 1.5 years of operation, the catalyst for methanation is basically inactive, which leads to the failure of production. Xindi Beijing technology research and development center undertook the catalyst replacement project, formulate the plan according to the actual situation, and mobilized the technical personnel and equipment to the project site to conduct a comprehensive service. In the process, as the project was designed by Xindi, and the design technology and operation parameters of methanation is not fully consistent with the conditions of use of our conventional catalyst, the technical personnel understood the existing design and operation rules, had an in-depth technical research following the customer-focused service concept, put forward an effective solutions, realizing one-time success startup in low load conditions, and the product index after replacement is better than the design value, eventually make to maximize the benefits of the owner.
The successful sales of the catalyst and startup, not only honors the commitment to the owners of the technology, but also is a full recognition of Xindi technology in the field of coke oven gas to natural gas, once again proves that the excellent product performance and wide applicability of Xindi methanation catalyst, setting a new benchmark for the catalyst product in the industry.
